Kerry Cibart is Chief Privacy Officer and Director of Compliance at ISM Canada where she has worked for 35 years. Her role has evolved from computer programmer in the 80s, project manager in the 90s to risk management related roles over the past 15 years. Senior leadership roles have given Kerry the opportunity to manage teams and engage people on all levels towards achieving common corporate goals. Kerry graduated in 1987 from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Administration degree and a Certificate of Computer Science. She is currently pursuing a Certified Information Privacy Professional designation through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Kerry has received formal recognition and awards from her corporate management team for proactively managing risks and controls compliance on behalf of ISMs customers. Kerry is an active volunteer in the community and has served on a number of non-profit boards most recently Hostelling International Prairie Region and CJTR Community Radio. She is a single mom to a 23-year old daughter, plays mandolin and loves to hang out with her two rescue dogs in her spare time.

Tanya Derksen

Tanya Derksen is the Executive Director of the Regina Symphony Orchestra (RSO) and has almost twenty years of experience in the music industry as a performer, teacher, board member, and arts administration leader. Since joining the RSO, Tanya has led the organization to increased growth in subscription revenue and sponsorships, transformed the customer service and marketing approach, established new educational programs, and developed a visionary 5-year strategic plan for the organization. Tanya has a strong education and community outreach background from her work as Director of Education and Outreach with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. During this time, she developed the organizations programming from a handful of local offerings for students to more than 20 programs that reached 60,000 children, teenagers, young adults and older adults each year from a variety of backgrounds across the province. In 2011, she initiated an innovative program called Sistema Winnipeg an intensive, 5-day a week, after-school youth orchestra program based on the El Sistema model in Venezuela for students living in neighbourhoods with the lowest socio-economic status in Winnipeg. Tanya is a passionate and active arts leader with experience on various boards in the arts and business community including Orchestras Canada, Sistema Canada Steering Committee, the Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts, and the Future Leaders of Manitoba. She recently served as co-chair of the 2015 National Conference for Music Educators in Canada. Tanya has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Music (piano) from Brandon University. She is thrilled to be leading the RSO and a part of the thriving arts and culture community in Regina.

Judy MacRae

Julie MacRaes career in education spans four decades and four Canadian Provinces. Prior to being appointed as the incoming Deputy Minister of Education for Saskatchewan, she served as Director of Education for Regina Public Schools in Regina, a position she has held since August 2011. She held similar positions in the Campbell River and Abbotsford School Districts in British Columbia. Mrs. MacRae was also a member of the Student Achievement Task Force appointed by the BC Ministry of Education in 2004 and later served as Superintendent Liaison to the Deputy Minister. In the latter capacity she assumed primary responsibility for implement Mrs. MacRae holds a Bachelor of Education Degree from Memorial University in Newfoundland and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from the University of British Columbia. She believes that the pursuit of both equity and excellence for all learners is the hallmark of a quality public education system.

Heather Magotiaux

Heather Magotiaux is Chief Executive Office for the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (SHRF), the provincial agency responsible for funding, facilitating, and promoting a vibrant culture of health research and innovation for a stronger Saskatchewan. Prior to joining SHRF she served 12 years as Vice-President Advancement for the University of Saskatchewan. Heather began her career as a newspaper reporter for several weekly Saskatchewan newspapers, an experience that deepened her love for the people of this province and her appreciation for their shared values of collaboration, determination and resourcefulness. Heather has received numerous awards for her work, from the International Association of Business Communicators, the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education, and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). She has been nominated as a Saskatoon YWCA Woman of Distinction, and in 2015 was named honorary alumna by the University of Saskatchewan Alumni Association in recognition of her service.

Bernadette McIntyre

Bernadette McIntyre is the Chief Executive Officer of the Wascana Centre Authority. She has led the Authority for over seven years, implementing major projects such as the Pine Island Finishing Line Facility, Broad Street pedestrian bridge, refurbishment of the Queen Elizabeth II Gardens, multiple play area rejuvenations and a wide variety of infrastructure projects. Previously she was the Assistant Vice President of Driver and Vehicle Safety Services with SGI. She had worked for over SGI 27 years and has had a variety of interesting and challenging positions within the corporation. Bernadette holds two degrees from the University of Regina, a B. A. in Economics and a B. Admin. both obtained with Great Distinction. Bernadette is an active curler and volunteer. She chaired the 2016 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championships, the 2014 CCA/CIS National University Curling Championships and was on the 2013 Grey Cup Festival Leadership Team. She is the Past President of Curl Regina, on the Access Communications Board of Directors and a past Director of the Canadian Curling Association. She was the President of the 2006 Tim Hortons Brier Host Committee the Canadian Mens Curling Championship, Chaired the Evraz Place Board of Directors and was a member of the Regina Palliative Care Inc Board. Bernadette is a past member of the University Board of Governors (1995 2001), Sask Sport Board of Directors (2002 2005) and the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame and Museum Board (2000 2004).

Deborah L. Meyers joined Saskatchewan Polytechnic in August, 2014 and has over 25 years of experience in building, leading and advising in corporate administrative services. She is highly successful in building continuous learning/improvement environments, developing innovative business solutions, managing strategic change, and cultivating organizational effectiveness. Deborah previously held various senior positions with the BC Provincial government, including CFO, Shared Services BC and Assistant Deputy Minister/Executive Financial Officer, Corporate Services with the Ministry of Forests and Range. At the Calgary Board of Education, she held the position of Superintendent, CFO and Corporate Treasurer. She has worked in both the private and the public sector including almost 10 years as a senior management consultant. Deborah holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Professional Accountant, CA. She has been involved with the educational process for CAs throughout her career, in both the Uniform Final Exam marking process and the Chartered Accountants School of Business.

Jill Morgan joined the CBC Saskatchewan news team as host of the supper hour newscast. Raised in Melfort, Saskatchewan, Jill Morgan graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Radio and Television Arts program, before beginning her broadcasting career as a photojournalist in Saskatchewan. Following a stint in Red Deer as an agriculture reporter, she returned to the province as weekend anchor and reporter for Global Regina. She quickly moved through the ranks to become the late night anchor and was named as anchor of the flagship supper hour and late night newscast in 2001. Jill loves living in Regina and is actively involved in the community. Over the years she has participated in many community events including the CIBC Run for the Cure and the Credit Union Queen City Marathon.

Bonnie Schmidt

Bonnie Schmidt is a skilled information technology and customer service professional with nearly 30 years of experience with the Government of Saskatchewan. Ms. Schmidt began her government career with Saskatchewan Finance, building a successful career working in progressively senior positions for several government agencies. As the Network Administrator for Executive Council she assisted with the integration and development of the governments Information Technology Office (ITO). She served as the Executive Director of Customer Services for the ITO, prior to being promoted as the Chief Information Officer for the newly amalgamated Ministry of Central Services in 2015. Ms. Schmidt also takes pride in serving the greater community and has been a board member of the Pink Warrior Foundation since 2011. Ms. Schmidt holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Regina. Ms. Schmidt was born and raised in northern Saskatchewan. She and her husband live in Regina, living an active life that includes travelling adventures such as climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Shannon Weatherall holds a Bachelor of Administration degree from the University of Regina and a Certified Professional Accountant designation. She has been with FCC since 2003, serving in a variety of roles within the Treasury and Controller divisions, including her current role as Vice-President & Treasurer. As Treasurer, Shannon is responsible for the corporations borrowing, investing and cash management, interest rate risk management, certain loan pricing components, venture capital and FCCs Pension Plans. Shannon and her husband, Keith, have two sons, Jordan and Logan. In her free time, she enjoys cheering her sons on in a variety of sports activities.

Barbara Young is an educator, administrator, consultant and most recently, politician. Her 40+ years of leadership experience in the Education Sector, the Provincial Government and as chair of several NGOs brings insight to the topic of women as leaders. Her experiences as the only woman in the room and the first woman to hold several leadership positions provide interesting stories in her career path. Councillor Barbara Young is sitting for her first term as a member of Regina City Council, representing the residents of Ward 1. She is one of two women sitting on an eleven member City Council. Barbara holds a doctorate in Educational Policy and Administration, a Masters degree in Education, and a Masters degree in Science. She is a recipient of the Saskatchewan Order of Merit, an Award of Distinction from the Saskatchewan School Boards Association, and the Saskatchewan Council on Educational Administrations Administrative Excellence Award.

Patricia Youzwa is an experienced senior executive and corporate director with a long track record of leadership in a variety of organizations. Ms. Youzwa is a past president and CEO of SaskPower Corporation. She assumed that position after executive roles in strategic planning, customer services and energy trading. Before joining SaskPower, she built a successful career in the public service of Saskatchewan serving as Deputy Minister, first with Energy and Mines and then with Economic Development. Ms. Youzwa has taken time to give back to her community. She is currently the Saskatchewan Vice Chair of the Canada West Foundation and the Chair of the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society (STARS) Foundation – two pan western not-for-profit organizations. She is also an organizer of the Regina Giller Light Bash in support of Frontier College, a national literacy organization. Ms.Youzwa was awarded the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012, the Lieutenant Governor’s Gold Medal for Excellence in Public Administration in 2011 and the Centennial Medal in 2005. Ms. Youzwa has a Master of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Ms. Youzwa lives in Regina with her husband. They have two children.

Peter Jackson

Peter Jackson is a licensed Professional Engineer with more than 30 years of experience, in a variety of operational and leadership roles, in the potash industry. Earning his bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Jackson began his career with the Grace Dearborn Company in 1983. A year later, he joined Kalium Chemicals at its Belle Plaine facility, where he served in a variety of roles, including Manager of Environment and Planning, Mining Superintendent, Vice President of Technical Services and General Manager of Belle Plaine. In 2011, he assumed his current position Vice President of Operations for the Potash Business Unit. Over the years, Jackson has used his unique combination of talent, knowledge and experience to lead a variety of projects at Mosaics potash sites. In addition, Jackson is heavily involved in the community, having served as President of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) and on the executive board of the Saskatchewan Mining Association. He currently sits on the board of the Levene School of business at the University of Regina and on the advisory committee for the College of Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. Jackson is an integral part of the Mosaic community, and together with the Potash Business Team, will continue to lead the way toward a more productive and prosperous tomorrow.
